Cemetery Tales Volunteers Needed

Cemetery Tales is our largest and most well known event of the year. We bring Hood River History back to life! In order to make this event great we need people with skills just like yours! There are many positions available.

Tour Guide

-You will guide guests from spot to spot within the cemetery to see the different performances. You will ensure they move along without tripping as best you can. You will keep them on a schedule and uphold certain rules (i.e. no talking to the actors, no cell phones, etc). The best part about this job is that you get to the see the performances for free and help out the History Museum! It’s a win, win!

Set Up/Break Down

-Setting up for the performances takes some man power. The path must be lined with lights, props put in place, and much more. At the end of the performances it must be taken all down. We need help with these tasks. The right amount of people will make it fast and fun work.

Reception Desk

-We need a few people to manage the reception desk at the event. You will hand out will call tickets and check people in as they arrive. You will keep the event coordinator updated on how many people have arrived for the upcoming tours. You will also sell tickets to anyone walking in to a tour. We need someone friendly and organized for this position.
